Upgrading to Windows 10

Windows 7 reaches the end of life on 14 January 2020.

If you are currently using Windows 7, you need to consider upgrading to a newer version of Windows. If you continue to use Windows 7 after the end of life date, you are putting your organisation at risk.

When Microsoft enters a product into the end of life, they no longer provide mainstream support or software updates to patch vulnerabilities. This means that in the coming weeks and months you are more at risk of cyber-attackers exploiting the software. While Microsoft works hard to ensure their systems remain secure, they will no longer actively patch vulnerabilities discovered after this date as it leaves extended support.
